About Galway Sick Kids

Galway Sick Kids Foundation CLG was established to raise funds for equipment, supports and practical improvements that benefit children, families and staff across paediatric and neonatal services at University Hospital Galway.

Why We Exist

When a child is in hospital, all comforts matter. Galway Sick Kids Foundation was established to fund practical improvements, equipment and child-friendly supports that make hospital stays easier for children and families. We work closely with teams across paediatric and neonatal services to identify where support is most needed and to ensure funds raised deliver practical benefits for children, families and staff.

Supporting Families Across the West & North-West.

The Paediatric Unit at University Hospital Galway cares for children from Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Donegal & North Clare. Our fundraising supports families across this entire region.

How We Work

All projects are identified in collaboration with the unit’s nursing management team. Funds raised go directly towards equipment, facility improvements and child-focused initiatives within the Paediatric Unit.
