Sponsorship
We have a number of events throughout the year that we require sponsorship for. Examples include the annual ball which Aerogen have generously sponsored for the last 2 years and who will support us once again for our upcoming 2026 ball on 28th November where they will present the third recipient of the GSKF Heros Award.
Through their Mission Makers Grant fund Medtronic sponsored gift vouchers for toys and face painters for all the children in the paediatric unit on International Children’s Day from 3 months old to 15 years were gifted either a toy or voucher and it put a smile on many of their little faces and those of their parents.
Revive Active contributed €5k towards the purchase of Smiley Scopes (virtual reality headsets) and supported our recent fashion show with over 200 samples of their Revive Active products.
Partnerships
Wildlands generously chose GSKF as their Charity Partners for 2024-2025. They hosted coffee mornings, fun events such as the Big Bounce Day as well as hosting ten families in their fantastic facilities in Moycullen. In addition, they donated vouchers to teenager children using the paediatric unit. Overall, this partnership was a very enjoyable experience for all.
Classicfest is a community-driven event with a strong commitment to supporting Local and National charities and voluntary organisations that make a real difference across Galway and Ireland. GSKF were delighted to be one of the chosen charities of Classicfest in 2025 and 2026 held at the Galway Racecourse where we raised circa €10k over the two years.
Our charity was selected as a partner by the Philanthropy team at Medtronic’s Mervue site in Galway for 2025. They organised a number of fundraising events throughout 2025 e.g. Easter Cake sale & raffle and several sporting events. Last Christmas at a lunch for the local community they presented GSKF team with a cheque for €8,668.
In December 2025, the Local Enterprise Office gave GSKF the opportunity of taking a stand over six days at the Local Food and Craft fair in the BlackBox theatre in Galway. All stand holders generously donated prizes for the charity raffle at the end of the event.
Organising an event on behalf of GSKF
Glanua who are headquartered in Loughrea raised €28,285 from its annual golf classic in August 2025, the funds of which will contribute towards the purchase of specialist eyescreening equipment for premature babies, enabling early detection of abnormalities in the development of blood vessels in the eyes, a critical intervention in preventing long-term vision impairment and blindness.
Employee Volunteerism
Employees at Datavant and Evernorth Ireland took time out to put together patient care packs for the children staying at the paediatric unit. The staff at both organisations liaised with the GSKF team to identify suitable content for the care packs which went down a treat with the children when they were delivered at the unit.
