Governance

Galway Sick Kids Foundation (GSKF) CLG is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees. The Board oversees the operation of activities and identifies priorities informed by a strategic plan with input from staff at the paediatric unit of University College Hospital Galway.

Trustees & Volunteers

GSKF trustees and volunteers give their time freely and do not receive fees or payments for their services.  We abide by the Guidelines for Charitable Organisations on Fundraising from the Public and are fully committed to the key principles of respect, honesty, integrity, transparency and accountability.  We are actively working towards full compliance with the Charities Governance Code of six principles.

Thérèse Harte
Company Secretary

Thérèse is a retired nurse who has been involved with the Charity since 2017. Having a son with a long term illness, she has experienced, first-hand, the facilities, care and kindness of the staff afforded to him in the Paediatric Unit and is keen to give her support to this very worthy cause. She holds the position of Company Secretary.
