NUIG MedSoc Fundraise for Galway Sick Kids

Logo with a red cross in the background, text nuig medsoc overlapping it, and a white clock tower or dome illustration within the cross, symbolising support for Galway’s Sick Kids.

NUIG MedSoc represents the students of NUIGalway’s School of Medicine. As a society they aim to both support their members academically and provide organisation for them socially

They work closely with charitable organisations to improve health and medical access in the community and abroad. They facilitate and encourage philanthropic activities by students.

In February this year they undertook the 100miles in 1 month challenge to raise funds for St Bernadette’s Ward, the Paediatric Unit and raised a magnificent €7049.95 for Galway Sick Kids to use in future projects. This was undertaken just at the start of Covid so we know that a lot of their plans were disrupted and we really really appreciated their efforts.
